In winter the Gex region welcomes lovers of winter sports.

From forest zones for an easy ski to higher peaks for more challenging skiing, Mount Jura offers several alternatives for outdoor fun.
The Monts Jura station is the most recent of French ski resorts and offers two skiing domains with 50 km of slopes accessible via 31 ski-lifts (including 3 télécabines, 7 chairlifts, ...) to really enjoy the Jura Mountains. 15 hectares of man-made snow guarantee snow cover from the beginning of December to the end of March.
You prefer cross country skiing? No problem! The station has two cross country skiing tracks connecting the villages of Lélex and Mijoux and the Nordic centre in La Vattay. In all, 140 km of ski-tracks await you, from the Valserin river’s edge to the alpine chalets in La Vattay.
The Monts Jura resort also has 35 km of marked tracks for walking or snowshoeing from the Lélex and Mijoux villages in the heart of the Haut Jura national park. You can rent snow-shoes on site (for information phone 04.50.20.91.43).
During the winter, a shuttle bus leaves Divonne for the ski stations. Information about times and fares can be found at the Tourist Office. Depuis les espaces boisés pour un ski tout en douceur, jusqu'aux plus hauts sommets adaptés à une glisse plus sport, Monts Jura permet de varier les plaisirs.
