Around the lake

You can go around the lake on foot, on rollerblades, on a bicycle or a tandem and it will be peaceful and safe as there are no cars.

*   The walk around the lake has splendid scenery in all seasons.
Don’t miss the planet path, alongside the racecourse, where the solar system is represented with respect to size and distance scales: every step you take represents 10 million kilometres! An explanatory brochure is available at the Tourist Office.

*   The Divonne river and the Crans canal: when it’s hot, you will appreciate the coolness of the river and its foliage.
Begin your walk along the Divonne river at the bridge of the avenue Marcel Anthonioz (close to the Business Center hotel residence) and follow the river to Forestland.

*    or leave from the Pont des îles – opposite the Forestland carpark – to walk along the Crans canal to the Bidonnes marshland where, if you’re lucky, you might see the descendants of the prehistoric aurochs.
Come back along the same path or along the path running alongside the ponds.

Other walks

*   The spring track : leaving from the Paul Vidart spring (next to the casino), passing in front of the Emma spring (next to the theatre) and the Barbilaine spring (near the town hall). From the town hall there is a path alongside the golf course up to the main spring. Guided tours can be organised at the Tourist Office.

*   Mount Mussy and Mount Mourex : From the top of the main source, go along a few dozen metres before crossing the road : following the Chemin des Dames path (easy), you can go up Mount Mussy where there is a sports path which anyone can do.

Then you can continue along the marked path through the woods up to the peak of Mount Mourex where there is a magnificent view of Lake Léman, the Alps and the Jura region..

*    You can take on several peaks by taking the path of the Haut Jura Mountain Chain.
